To start preparing our vegan kebap, we obviously need the right ingredients. Here is our shopping list:
Seitan ๐พ is an excellent vegetable substitute for meat, ideal for our vegan kebap. First, we cut the seitan into thin strips and fry it in vegetable oil. Make sure to turn it regularly so that it browns evenly. ๐๐ป Then we season it with salt, bell pepper, curry, paprika and cumin to taste.
Now the Vegetables the turn. ๐ We cut the onion, white cabbage, bell bell pepper and tomato into thin strips or cubes and set them aside. The lettuce can be chosen however you like - whether it's iceberg, romaine or spinach - the main thing is that it's fresh and crunchy! ๐๐ป
Our next step is the preparation of the Flatbreads. ๐ฅ You can either use ready-made wholemeal flatbread or make your own if you're feeling particularly adventurous! ๐ Both options are delicious. Our tip: Toast the flatbread just before serving and spread some garlic sauce on top.
